As Capital Core Dance Academy takes over ownership of Tu Left Feet, we know you may have questions. Our goal is to make this a smooth and exciting transition for your family while continuing the strong foundation already built. Here are some answers to help guide you:

1. What is Capital Core Dance Academy?

Capital Core Dance Academy is a athlete-centered, community-driven studio focused on building confident dancers of all levels. Our team brings experience in dance education, performance, and child development—with a mission to grow a studio that feels like home.

2. Why is Tu Left Feet changing ownership?

The previous owner is passing the torch to allow for the studio to grow under new leadership. We are honored to carry forward the legacy and look forward to enhancing the experience for every dancer.

3. Is the studio closing or moving?

Not at all! The studio is staying right here and will remain open and fully operational. Our priority is consistency, so your classes will continue without interruption.

4. Will the name “Tu Left Feet” go away?

We are rebranding to Capital Core Dance  to reflect a fresh start and expanded vision. You’ll begin to see new branding soon, but we remain deeply respectful of what Tu Left Feet has built over the years.

5. Will my child’s schedule or teacher change?

Some changes are coming due to summer and fall schedules but for the most part class schedules and instructors will remain the same for now. If any changes are made, they will be communicated clearly and thoughtfully, always with your child’s best interest in mind.

6. Will prices increase?

There are no immediate changes to tuition or fees. If any adjustments are made in the future, they’ll be shared in advance and will always reflect added value through improved programming, resources, or events.

7. Who is the new owner, and will they be involved?

Chanel Hicks, a passionate educator and experienced business leader, is now the proud owner of Capital Core Dance. Chanel will be actively involved in operations, programming, and parent communication to ensure a strong and personal connection with our dance families.

8. Will there still be recitals, competitions, and performances?

Yes—and even more! We will continue offering recitals and competitions and will be adding more performance opportunities, themed events, and community showcases throughout the year.

9. What’s new and exciting about this transition?

We are expanding to include preschool dance, adult classes, camps, birthday parties, and special programs for cross-training athletes like skaters and gymnasts. We're also updating the studio experience, including new branding, marketing, and enrollment tools to better serve you.
